Lynne Marand (formerly Woloshyniuk) has pursued her interest in art since her teenage years. Every opportunity to paint or to draw was taken including portraits at the church fair, greeting cards etc. She has taken courses of instruction from the Okanagan Summer School of the Arts and from Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) Rick McDermid, Donna Baspali, Denis Webber, Kindrie Grove, Bonnie Roberts.
Lynne's paintings have hung in galleries in Whitehorse, Osoyoos and Penticton in various group showings of Penticton Art Group, Brushstrokes and FCA as well as in private collections across Western Canada, Ontario and London, England. Lynne works mainly in acrylics enjoying the rich colours and diversity of the medium. Other mediums used include water colour, graphite and pen and ink. Subjects include landscapes, florals, portraiture of both people and pets as well as abstracts.
